2. How would it affect the economics of the NCAA?
3. Does the cancellation due to COVID-19 of money that would have been gain from the NCAA Tournament make any difference in it?
Q.1 .Ans
This Question talks about the decision to be taken by NCAA on
transfer rules which will allow student athletes to compete
immediately instead of sitting out for a year.
As per the present rules when the student athlete transfer out they
have to sit out for 1 season. However a working group is trying to
change that. If this is approved this can allow transferred
students to compete immediately after the
transfer.
According to current rules more then 1/3 students transfer . This
working group is working on getting rid of the sit out period
subject to students meeting some requirements and conditions.
Decision is likely to be taken by the council in May 2020
