We didn't have the means to import metal from Italy or China. I wonder if we could survive on just American made products only as a country?

Answer #1

It is wrong to say that US do not import metals from Italy or China. China produces large scale of production of steel and thus, China dump their steel around the world, that is why US has particular anti-dumpining policies in place for China. For coal, US has the highest amount of production. For rare earth metals, US is dependent on Australia mostly. US imports steel mostly from Canda and Brazil. For other metals like copper and aluminium, US has a lot of copper production in place. US imports aluminium from Canada and China. Thus, Us does import from other countries which is for its best interest.

We seem to have endless meetings that drag on and on forever. I myself attended five meetings within the building but also was forced to participate in three more conference call meetings. And that was just last week! Nearly every one of those meetings was poorly run. Some should never have been called because they merely announced...

As we learn more about the people who have come before us, we have to be careful not judge them through the lens of the present, or assume they could or should have acted as you or I today would act. Remember, "The past is a foreign country: they do things differently there." In that spirit, identify an American belief or practice we generally understand or accept today as "normal" that, one hundred years from now, future generations might be...

CLOSING CASE 9.1 Emerging Markets: Emerging Acquirers from China and India Multinational enterprises (MNEs) from emerging economies, especially China and India, have emerged as a new breed of acquirers around the world. Only recently has rigorous academic research been conducted to allow for systematic compar- ison (Table 9.1). t i Top target Industries...

I have a question for my homework that says to react the following compounds with one equivalent of NBS with CCl4, and that they give only one major product. Then we have to explain why we gave our answers. I think this was just an accident that my professor left it out of the question, but wouldn't the reaction with NBS and CCl4 also need heat or light and peroxides to work? I've done the questions as if they were...
