Love is a subjective emotional state and it is difficult to define love. In general, love is a generalized positive feeling which ranges from a deep interpersonal relation to a simple feeling of please by doing something. So, a spouse can love his/her spouse, a mother can love her children or one can simply love eating or play chess. Therefore, it is difficult to appropriately define love. Also, love cannot be quantified using a unit of measurement.

Since love is subjective, different people need a different level and type of love depending on one's general mental state. Therefore, the worth of love would depend on the individual. One can assign a dollar value to love depending on one's emotional needs.
