First, why might education directly cause people to live healthier lifestyles? Second, is it possible that education does not cause better health, despite their positive correlation? Please explain.
Education creates awareness in the minds of the people and make them more informed about all the happenings in the world. It is true that an educated person is less likely to smoke and less likely to be obese. Also education teaches one the inportance of staying fit and healthy. They know clearly that only if they are healthy then they can do their works properly. Thus, an educated person is less likely to take risks with his/ her health and will do all the efforts to stay fit and healthy.
In some cases, where a person is addicted to junk foods, smoking etc, will there will be no positive correlation between education and health. But this happens in very rare cases and generally people make all the efforts to stay fit and healthy ands there exists strong and positive correlation between education and health outcomes.
