Homework Answers

Answer #1

Reasons are as follows.

  • Windows is more popular than mac OS and linux in terms of usage. This makes it a more popular choice based on majority opinion.
  • Windows is cost-effective in terms of features provided. The system cost and hardware cost is lesser than mac OS. Features of windows are better than linux for a non-programmer.
  • Almost every software is available and developed first for windows due to popularity, and there are hardly any softwares for linux/ mac os that don't run on windows or don't provide needed functionality.
  • Customising to improve or change windows desktop hardware like RAM, motherboard is easier than other systems.
