A.

i. What are the maximum clocks speeds for DDR4 memory, and what is being proposed for DDR5.

ii. What is the current maximum throughput available for DDR4 and what is proposed for DDR5.

Answer #1

1) DDr4 memory/rams, ( double data rate version) self refersh is applicable, which helps to consume less power. by default the maximum clock speed for DDR4 memory is 2400 MHz. if any of the ram that has speed which excide this limit, then it means that by manufacturer, it has been accelerate/overclocked.

and for DDR5 memory/rams has the capability going from low to high, such that it might start at 3200MHz and this can vary and goes maximum upto 8400 MHz, as the time passes by, and it has also the conserving power mode if it goes below 4800 MHz, it will start conserving power.

2) Maximum throughput available for DDR4 rams, has the transfer rate betwen 2133 MT/s and 2400MT/s at 1.2v

maximum throughput available for DDR5 rams, has the transfer rate of 51.2 GB/s, and reduces memory volatge to 1.1v, which helps to reduce power consumption, and its implemented on-board to reach higher speed.

(Probably related to this one, and probably should be CW.) A very long time ago, I had the good fortune to read George Gamow's excellent series of Mr. Tompkins books. That introduced me to the idea of a world where the usual physical constants (e.g. the speed of light and Planck's constant) were changed such that "paradoxical" effects became apparent in the macroworld. My memory is hazy now, but I do recall the concepts of relativity (e.g. dilation) becoming more...
