(troubleshooting discussion)!

James, one of the intern is working remotely and has been having problems with his home computer being too slow. How would you go about troubleshooting to see if the machine is part of the problem or if it is the broadband connection?

Answer #1

The first step will be to make sure that the connections are pproper and then perform a speed test for the broadband connection,

If the speed test shows good result then the issue will be due to the machine and to reolve that first clear all the temp file and prefetch files and then check for any background processes which may consume data ,

If the speed test shows slow speed then try to change the dns to either google open dns or cloudflare dns , if noen of them improve the speed the only option will be to contact the ISP.
