Digitizing information is referred to as Digitization.

Digitization is the process of converting information into a computer-readable(digital) format, in which the information (or) data is organized into bits and bytes.

Digitizing information makes it easier to store, access and share.

image, document, sound are some of the examples of digital information.

Example:

1. Text and images can be digitized with the help of scanners. The scanner captures an image and converts it into an image file, such as a bitmap, jpeg, jpg, and png.
2. Audio and video digitalization makes use of various analog to digital conversion processes in which an analog(continuously variable) signal is changed without changing its original content into a digital(multi-level) signal.
