Hello! I have some questions related to Ansys Fluent, I have just started learning about it:
1. What is multiphase? When do we use it or turn it on?

2. When do we need to turn the energy on?

3. If I discuss about the air flow in the channel flow, should I turn on the gravity of the earth? g=9.81m/s2

Thank you in advance! I will thumb you up!

Answer #1

1.

Understanding multiphase phenomena can be important for optimizing processes or products. Multiphase flow describe phase definition and flow classification.

It should turn on for flows with a high volume fraction of particles, where particle-particle interaction is important.

2.

When we want to analyze the liquids the energy eqation should be on and Pressure work and kinetic energy are accounted in that comdition.

3.

●  Yes you must turn on the gravity if you analysing any fluid (Gas,water, oil) in open channel flow.

Thank you.

Hello I have a question about organic chemistry 1 lab. When doing chemical tests the Br2 in CCl4. Shows a positive result for alkenes and alkynes? And negative test results mean a alkene and/or arene? I’m told in lab that we do not have potassium permanganate so we cannot use it. The second test that were told to preform if nothing else is shown on the IR is a halide test. I hope this makes sense. I’m just confused about...

Hello! I am from Kinematics and Dynamics where we are learning about Spur Gears. Unfortunately, I am lost on how to solve this problem. Please show and explain each step legibly on how to solve it. Thanks! 3. The center distance of two 24-tooth, 20-degree pressure angle, full-depth involute spur gears with diametral pitch of 10 teeth/in is increased by 0.05 in over the standard distance. At what pressure angle do the gears operate?

Hello. This problem is about image noise cancelling. The problem is like this: There are some pictures of moon that you take in a row. The position of moon doesn't change at all and there exists white Gaussian noise on the image. Mean of the noise is 1 and variance is 49. How do you get a clean image without noise? There is a comment for this problem that if you average k pictures which satisfy the condition ?^2 /...

Hello, I am having difficulties understand the way we should find phyiscal addresses. Specify the addressing mode and compute the physical address of the data (to be written into or to be read from the memory) in each of the following instructions. Assume (CS) = 0B50 H, (DS) = 0AA0 H, (SI) = 0220 H, (DI) = 0100 H, (BX) = 0500 H a) MOV BH, 22H b) MOV [SI], BX This is an example. The first one is immediate...

I have a question about cash flows. If the cash generated from not paying accounts payable is considered excessive, not normal or not sustainable(i.e. the company must pay accounts payable eventually and the current year adjustment is far in excess of what could be considered as normal), you will need to "adjust" operating cash flow to remove the excess amount related to payable accounts. How can adjust oerating cash flow? Is there any calculation that I have to do? Please...

Hi. I have two questions about the linear algebra. 1. Prove that a linear transform always maps 0 to 0. 2. Suppose that S = {x, y, z} is a linearly dependent set. Prove that every vector v in the span of the set S can be expressed as a linear combination in more than one way. Will thumb up for both answers. Thank you so much!
