{This is in regards to Chem 2 and coordinate compounds; specifically, stereoisomers)

My question is how to draw the following complex's? I would really like an explanation as to how as well. I just don't understand it. Thank you for your time.

cis-[Co(NH3)4Cl2]

trans-[Co(NH3)4Cl2]

fac-[Co(NH3)3Cl3]

mer-[Co(NH3)3Cl3]

cis-[Co(en)2Cl2]+

(Remember: Because en is a bidentate ligand it counts as

two ligands each)

trans-[Co(en)2Cl2]+

cis-SCl2F4

trans-SCl2F4

fac-[RhCl3(pyr)3]

mer-[RhCl3(pyr)3]

fac-[Co(NH3)3(H2O)3]2+

mer-[Co(NH3)3(H2O)3]2+

There are mutiple question here. I will help you out with 1 or 2 of each kind. Please solve other by yourself or post them as different question

For cis-[Co(NH3)4Cl2]:
To draw cis form, you need to put all ligands adcacent to each other.

For trans-[Co(NH3)4Cl2]:
To draw trans, you need to put that ligand which is less in number in opposite direction. SO i have put 2 Cl's in opposit.

For fac-[Co(NH3)3Cl3]:
remember facial means anyone set of ligand has in the same face of cube.

For mer-[Co(NH3)3Cl3]:
remember mer means none set of ligand should in the same face

cis-[Co(en)2Cl2]+
Cis here means one which is not bidentate should be adacent to each other

trans-[Co(en)2Cl2]+
transhere means one which is not bidentate should be opposite to each other

Similarly you can draw others.
