-Rapid mix

-Flocculator

-Settling basin

Answer #1

Significance of techniques in water treatment

- Rapid mix : allows us to mix the added coagulant with the water present. Thus a complete and efficient coaggulation of impurities occur without any loss.

- Flocculator : a technique wherein, the particles in water are agitated such that larger masses of particles are formed by agglomeration of many smaller particles together.

- Settling basin : This technique helps in clean decantation or separation of insoluble agglomerated particles from the water. Thw water is settled, heavier particles are at the base and are easily removed.
