A square rapid mixing tank is used to process 0.14 m3/s of water. The depth of the tank is assumed to be 2 times the width. Use a detention time of 25 seconds and velocity gradient of 700 1/s. The properties of the water in the tank are the same as the ones listed in the formulas sheet.

Determine

a) The dimensions of the rapid mixing tank

b) The power input needed from the motor if its efficiency is 80%
