VSEPR analysis is required
The Valence Shell Electron Pair Repulsion (VSEPR) Model . It is basically the model to predict the geometry of the molecules. Specifically, the VSEPR models look at the bonding and also the molecular geometry of the organic molecules and polyatomic ions. It is useful for nearly all the compounds which have a central atom and that is not a metal.
The VSEPR notation gives general formula for classifying the chemical species based on the number of the electron pairs around the central atom. Not all species have same molecular geometry. For example, carbon dioxide(CO2) and sulfur dioxide(SO2) are both the species, but one is linear and the other one is bent.
