Reaction rates increase with temperature because as the temperature increases:

The equilibrium constant increases
The activation energy increases
The activation energy decreases
The molecules have higher average kinetic energy
The molecules have lower average kinetic energy

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Reaction Rate increase with temperature because as the temperature increase the molecules having higher average kinetic energy.

Explanation:

An increase in temperature will raise the average kinetic energy of the reactant molecules. Therefore, a greater proportion of molecules will have the minimum energy necessary for an effective collision (called Activation energy) resulting in a reaction.

Refer attached graph for better clarity

These are the extra molecules which got activation energy which will result in affective collision resulting increased rate.
