cdk is a protein and its specific level of phosphorylation and association or dissociation with cyclin protein regulates the cell cycle. so cyclin synthesis is starts its association with cdk then cdk phosphorylation at thr 14 and tyr 15 position occurs then to thr 167 postion. at this situation it is dephosphoryated at 14 and 15 position and cell enters the mitosis

then cyclin degrades and cdk is dephosphoryated and cells enters interphase.

cdki are inhibitors for cdk protein.
