Born without T cells but normal B cell functioning:

T-helper cells have an importance in immunity in that they mostly stimulate other cells.They secrete lymphokines such as Interleukin-1 from macrophages and the release of Interleukin-2 which activates other T-cells like delayed hypersentivity cells and T-killer cells.They also bind with B-cells to activate them in humoral immunity against foreign antigens.

  • If a person is born without T cells then he would have normal B cell function.But he would not be able to produce IgE, or memory cells, and would only be able to produce IgM it will work, but not as effective as with a T-helper cell.
  • They wouldn't be able to respond to most of the antigens your body encounters. In many cases, T cells must recognize an antigen, then activate the appropriate B cells through CD40L interactions
