2. Collagen fiber is approximately 300nm long and having a width of 1.5 nm. This is made up of three polypeptide chains. Three left handed helical polypeptides wind around to form a right handed triple collagen fiber molecue. This follows a regular pattern of aminoacids Gly-Pro-X or Gly-X-Hyp.
