Is like the Glucose malabsorption syndrome ever resulting in defective glucose which could then exit across the basolateral membrane via GLUT.
The glucose malabsorption syndrome is not caused by defective glucose molecules. It is caused due to the defect in the basolateral membrane of the intestinal walls. This defect prevents the glucose and other related carbohydrates from entering the intestine and the digestion becomes a task. Symptoms of it are severe diarrhoea, flatulence and cramps in the abdomen. The treatment of glucose malabsorption is the removal of foods containing glucose from the diet.
