In general , to test which fragment expresses a particular
protein or enzyme , the gene can be cut into fragemnts and
expressed in a plasmid .
the plasmid should also contain , a GFP , antibiotic resistance
sites to selectively grow the cells that contain only the
fragment.
By precisely deleting certain fragemnts and joining them , we
can also detect which genes whether upstream or downstream elements
control the expression of particular fragment.
So, here the 7kb fragment should be cut precisely and
selectively and ligated with plasmid .
The plasmid which contains the gene will alos contain GFP6
protein.
When the plasmid constructs are transffered to cultured cells
or embryos , the expression of the gene can be studied.
