Autralopithecines are the species which forms important basline to interpret evolution of human feet for bipedal gait. There are evidance that Autralopithecines might have genu valgum which shows that they have upright posture and gait, but there morphology was similar to apes with wider and rorated hips and cured and elongated hand/ or foot phalanges. These characterstics would have helped then to climb trees, which gives signifant evidence of there arboreal agility but with adaptation showing evolution of upright posture and bipedal gait.
