a conclusion on centrifuge lab report

a conclusion on centrifuge lab report

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Conclusion -

The safety and efficiency of modern clinical centrifuges continues to improve with many manufacturers and suppliers seeking to reduce the time it takes for the device to reach the speed specified and to reduce the time it takes to stop the process of centrifuging. Most centrifuges interfaced with laboratory hardware / software are part of analytical systems which have front-end processing tracks of specimens. Specimen collection tubes are placed on a track in these systems which transports the tubes to a centrifuge. The tubes are returned to the track after centrifugation to be transported to the analyser for testing. The speed and reliance centrifuges carry to the laboratory makes them an invaluable tool as we seek to automate more laboratory activities.

Century Lab plans to purchase a new centrifuge machine for its New Hampshire New Hampshire facility. The machine costs $567,000 and is expected to have a useful life of 8 years, with a terminal disposal value of $54,000. Savings in cash operating costs are expected to be $108,000 per year. However, additional working capital is needed to keep the machine running efficiently. The working capital must continually be replaced, so an investment of $38,000 needs to be maintained at all...

An astronaut is being tested in a centrifuge. The centrifuge has a radius of 12 m and, in starting, rotates according to θ= 0.25t2, where t is in seconds and θ is in radians. When t = 1.5 s, what are the magnitudes of the astronaut's (a)angular velocity, (b) linear velocity, (c) tangential acceleration, and (d) radial acceleration?
