The small pox virus could be spread from one person to another by using the materials or other product use by the person having small pox. The small pocket is an air-borne disease and coughing, sneezing or sharing contaminated clothing of infected person could increase the chance of spreading small-pox virus.

The virus present in the contaminated blanket and which were given to the Native American would enter from blanket to the American body. This virus would attach themselves with the host body and enter in the human body and start using their body machinery for their survival that finally lead to the causing of small-pox.
