what is the feedback involved in the process of digestion? explain how you know this.
I know it's both positive and negative but can some one explain
Negative feedback inhibition : Gastrin is a peptide hormone that stimulate secretion of gastric acid (HCl) by parietal cells of stomach and aids in gastric motility. Gastrin is released by the G cells of antrum of stomach. It binds with cholicystokinin beta receptors to stimulate histamine synthesis. Release of Gastrin is inhibited when pH is less (pH less than 2).Stimulate secretion when pH is basic.
Postive feedback : A positive feedback loop occurs when peptides cause acid and pepsinogen to be released and this turn cause more peptides in stomach, which cause acid and pepsinogen to be released, aiding in digestion.
