House-keeping genes: Genes that are expressed constitutively in all the cells.
Tissue-specific genes/Regulated genes: Genes that are expressed only in certain tissues at a certain point of time

Two house-keeping genes that can be used as alternatives:
1. Ubiquitin
2. Actin

Densitometry is a visual method of measuring the intensity of a band on the gel. It is not an absolute method i.e. it compares the intensity of the band with another region on the gel.
It only gives an approximate value, not an absolute concentration of the sample.
If there are high density bands on the gel, the measurement is less sensitive.
