Answer #1

Ans . Neutrophils and Macrophages are the two examples of components of the 1st line of defense that interact with or communicate with the 3rd line of defense.

The third line of defense is specific resistance. This system relies on antigens, which are specific substance found in foreign microbes. The activation of T- cells by a specific antigen is called cell-mediated immunity.

Macrophage is the first cell to recognize and engulf foreign substances (antigens). Macrophages breakdown these substances and present the smaller proteins to the T-lymphocytes.

Neutrophils negatively influence CD4+ T cells as well as the interaction between some immune cells to supress the immune response.

Think of two variables, they could be from everyday life, that you feel would be strongly correlated, either positively or negatively. Describe why you would care about those two variables being correlated, and if you were to find a linear equation (best fit line) for them, what would you use it for. If you need to do some research online to find examples to post, that would be encouraged.

If you run summary() command on a result of linear model fitting returned by lm(), you will see a column Pr(>t). You could guess that it is a result of some t-test. How does it apply here? So far we have seen t-tests in the settings of testing sample locations. The ingredients were: 1) null hypothesis: in earlier cases we looked into the null that stated that two samples came from the distribution(s) with the same mean(s); 2) test statistic:...
