Answer #1

Fungi produces a toxin which can inhibit the activity of bacteria in a culture, as accidentally penicillin discovered due contamination of fungi in bacterial plate and a chemical secreted by the fungi killed the bacterial colonies and later on it become most potent antibiotics and considered most effective one too.

Unlike this, fungi and bacteria exhibit mutualism and they are present in the form of commensal agent (mostly) and become opportunistic pathogen when get suitable environment (weak immune system or any disease condition).

Some organisms have natural secretory nature and they secrete certain toxin and in this case penicillin behaved as strong antibiotic with strong inhibitory properties against bacterial colonies through inhibits formation of cell wall of newly formed cells (produced by binary fission) through binding of this toxin to the cell wall.
