What are two proximate causes and two root causes of deforestation?
Deforestation is very large uprooting of trees resulting in complete barren land. The various proximate reasons are the extension of the transporation infrastructure, cattle ranching, commercial wood extraction and permanent cultivation.
The two main root cause of the deforestation are the agricultural land expansion because of which there is increase in the process of deforestation as the large areas need of forests are cleared to make way to the agricultural fields . The second reason is overpopulation as the population is increasing to large amounts so the forests areas and other such places are need to cleared to meet the housing needs and other basic needs like clothing of the ever increasing population.
