If thyroid gland is not there, then calcium level can be maintained by following ways-

1. When there is high blood calcium level, then parathyroid gland will be suppressed and parathormone will be synthesized less. Parathormone cause increase in blood calcium level.

2. When calcium levels are high, the excretion of calcium form the renal tubules will increase.

3. When calcium levels are high, then absorption of calcium from gastrointestinal tract will be reduced.

4. Bone dissolution will reduce when calcium levels are high.
