Answer #1

Answer : 1 and 3

Explanation :

In tracheostomy, a hole is made in the neck and a tube is connected to the windpipe through this hole of the neck, so that air can enter into the lungs directly through this tube. When a person will breathe cool and dry air, it may create irritation in the lungs and air pathways. It may also cause narrowing of the upper airways and makes the breathing of the person difficult. Also if the person will breathe air with microbes and dust, it may causes different types of diseases in the person. The dust accumulation in the lungs also causes difficulty in breathing. Hence breathing cool, dry, microbes filled and dusty air will have negative effects on the person.

The mouth/ nose makes the air warmer and humidifies the inhaled air in normal time. The mucus also makes easy passage of air in the wind pipes.
