The heart is the most hard-working muscle in the body. It is already beating even before a woman knows that she is pregnant, and does not cease until death. Like other tissues in the body, it too, needs to be supplied with blood. A coronary angina or “heart attack” is severe chest pains that result from the blockage of one of the coronary arteries or its branches that supply the heart. Cardiac catheterization is one of the methods for treating this. In future, this might actually displace or replace cardiac transplantation. What do you think about this statement?
Cardiac carherization is a process by which heart functioning is examined by inserting a catheter in blood vessel which goes to heart. By doing this one can know the disease of heart muscles, coronary arteries, heart valves, oxygen content in the four chambers of heart, pressure of four chambers of heart, pumping and contraction capacity of the heart. One can even do biopsy of the heart. By using cardiac carherization one can do cardiac angiography to remove any blockade in coronary arteries one can also perform cardiac angioplasty to improve the narrowed coronary arteries by stenting it. Hence, by performing cardiac carherization one can know all the defects in heart and perform procedures to rectify those problems in heart in advance so that cardiac transplantation can be prevented. Hence, cardiac carherization is going to displace or replace cardiac transplantation in future.
