Hi. This is a question for my summer neuroscience class.
Q: Explain the relevant differences in inductive and deductive approaches to studying language and brain.
An inductive approach to study brain and language uses various
experiments and new discoveries to draw the a conclusion. Inductive
approach is a bottom up approach.
In a deductive approach pretested theories are used to study the
brain and language. Deductive approach is a top down
approach.
In inductive approach the brain and its structures are studied in a
way to gain new knowledge and experiences. This approach requires
gaining new findings. These experiences, knowledge and findings are
then laid down to draw a conclusion.
In deductive approach the pretested theories and preformed
knowledge is used to study different parts of brain and language in
relation to brain.
