Due to any event, when one gets scared the brain identifies
this as a stressfull event.
The nerves in our brain activates sympathetic nervous
system in response to the stress.
Sympathetic nervous system is a branch of autonomic nervous
system.
Sympathetic nervous system sends nerve impulses to
adrenal gland in order to release two
catacholamine hormones called epinephrine and
norepinephrine from its medulla
region.
These hormones tends to exhibit flight or fight
response.
Epinephrine and norepinephrine travels via blood to organs of
the body and cause certain physiological changes
such as : - Inreased heart rate
- Increased blood pressure
- Redness and flushing
- Tremors
- Dizziness
- Sweating
- Increased respiration
In this way, sympathetic nervous system responds to stress and
cause symptoms of stress to occur.
