Cerebral cortex is located at the external layer of the cerebrum and is mainly found in human and in animals, as it is a part of the brain its main function is to recognise the language and provide relevant response to the environment, it also plays an important role in analysing the situation as well as helps with the memory. In the given situation the patient has suffered damage to the pre-motor area of the cerebral cortex which is mainly a frontal lobe injury, the signs and symptoms which the patient may manifest is :-

• Amnesia which is a loss of memory.
• Difficulty in recognising relatives.
• Changes in the personality or behaviour.
• Difficulty in concentrating.
• Poor judgement.
