Joint formed by the proximal ulna and the distal Humerus
Joint formed by the proximal ulna and distal humerus is the humeroulnar joint. It is a part of elbow joint.
It is formed between the trochlea of the humerus and trochlear notch of the ulna. It is a hinge variety of synovial joint which allows movements like flexion and extension at the elbow joint.
The other two joints that constitutes elbow joint besides the humeroulnar joint are the humeroradial joint and proximal radioulnar joint.
Humeroradial joint is formed between the capitulum of the humerus and head of the radius. Proximal radioulnar joint is formed between the head of the radius and radial notch of the ulna. It allows the movements of supination and pronation at the forearm.
