what are the main important markings of the distal epiphysis of the humerus ?

Answer #1

The humerus is flattened distally. The prominent bony projection on the medial side is the medial epicondyle of the humerus. The lateral side of the distal humerus is characterized by lateral epicondyle of the humerus. The roughened ridge of the bone above the lateral epicondyle is the lateral supracondylar ridge.

The distal surface of the humerus consists of a condyle, that consists of capitulum and trochlea. There are three depressions located on the distal portion of the humerus: coranoid, radial and olecranon fossa.
