A) Do hypophyseal veins connect through the nose? There must be a way for the blood to go through this area (Hypophyseal fossa) to the nose, not all the time, but some times.

B) Any 3D dimensions specific to Hypophyseal fossa?

Answer #1

Ans a) The hypophyseal veins are the veins which helps in establishing a direct connection between hypothalamus and the anterior pituitary lobe. The hormones which are released from the hypothalamus to these veins. The hypophyseal portal system consists of veins that connects to capillary beds which are located in the lower hypothalamus and the anterior pituitary. The blood drains into the nose through the hypophyseal fossa through the veins because the sphenoid sinus within the nasal cavity is separated from hypophyseal fossa with help of only thin bone. Hence it is through this thin shelve of bone that the blood is drained into the hypophyseal fossa and into the nasal cavity.

A) Willow and Stevens are two-way streets in an urban area. A four-phase operation is used for the intersection of Willow and Stevens with a cycle time of 110 seconds, including 15 sec Green for the left turn (LT) vehicles on each street. If the green time for the through (TH) vehicles on Willow is 30 sec, determine the green time for the through (TH) vehicles on Stevens and construct the signal timing cut-out diagrams for vehicles only without considering...

Select the MOST CORRECT answer. During the cardiac cycle... Blood flows from the right atrium, through the AV valve, and is pumped by the right ventricle into the pulmonary artery. The ventricular diastole occurs at the same time as atrial systole and atrial diastole. The second heart sound (S2, or dup) occurs just as the left ventricle reaches its highest pressure, which exceeds aortic pressure. Both a) and b) are correct and c) is incorrect. a), b) and c) are...

TRUE OR FALSE The ventricular ejection phase generally correlates with the S-T segment and the T wave on the ECG. Lymphatic vessels constitute a one-way system that delivers fluid form the blood vessels to the extracellular space Systole is the contraction portion of the cardiac cycle and diastole is the relaxation portion. There are typically four pulmonary veins, two draining each lung. They all connect to right atrium. The sympathetic nervous system increases blood pressure in the short term by...
