A common example of friction in sports is the frictional force

Some of the methods to apply friction in sports is :
1. Adding spikes to player shoes help him to run on the ground
without slipping.
2. Making the ball surface rough by adding small holes or spikes
help to slow down the ball.
3. Making a cricket pitch little dry and dusty helps to inprove
friction.
