Harmony-

Harmony is often said to refer to the "vertical" aspect of music, as distinguished from melodic line, or the "horizontal" aspect.

It refers to the relationship between melodic lines, and polyphony, which refers to the simultaneous sounding of separate independent voices, are thus sometimes distinguished from harmony.

Hamonization-

Harmonization is the process of minimizing redundant or conflicting standards which may have evolved independently. The concept borrows from the process toharmonize discordant music. The goal is to find commonalities, identify critical requirements that need to be retained, and provide a common standard.

standardization-

Standardization is the process of developing, promoting and possibly mandating standards-based and compatible technologies and processes within a given industry.
It can help to maximize compatibility, Interoperability,

safety, repeatability, or quality. It can also facilitate

commoditization of formerly custom processes.
