It is necessary that he or she must know the professional standards and regulatory guidance such as AICPA's statement on standards for tax services, internal revenue services circulars and rulings.

Further, it is not mandate for forensic accountant to comply with AICPA's code of professional  conduct. Also, it is not mandatory for the forensic accountant to be a member of AICPA
