Describe an original real-world example of a probability experiment. Identify the random variable and the possible values it could take on. (3 points)

Answer #1

Rolling a unbiased dice.

When we roll an unbiased dice then the possible value that it will takes is 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 so, we have 6 random variable values that a dice can take.

As we know probability of getting any one of six value is 1/6 so, this is one of the example of probability experiment which we generally see in ludo game .

X. 1 . 2 . 3 . 4. 5 . 6

P(X=x) 1/6 . 1/6 . 1/6. 1/6. 1/6. 1/6 .

Above are value of random variable and it's respective probability.

11. Part A: Create a real world (business) application and identify at least 2 random variables xi that can be approximated by the binomial probability distribution. (at-least 100 words). Your answer. <Be as descriptive about your application as you can>. Part B: Show that each that xi is a binomial random variable by checking each of the four characteristics.
