Assume a study revealed that when a mother burps her baby at least 8 times per day, the baby tends to be healthier than babies whose mothers don't burp them as much. The study was conducted by analyzing the # of reported cases of illness for babies in the two groups. This is actually true, but can you give a rational explanation for this amazing phenomenon?

Answer #1

As the babies are not small and they have no proper modes to communicate with the other human beings, they dont know speech, etc. and the digestive system of the babies is also not too much strong and adaptable, thus there may be chances that the gas may get trapped inside the stomach of the babies, so when the mother burps her baby this gas gets released which may reduce the issuesrelated to digestive system and gastric problem which is the major causeof illness in human body. hence when a mother burps her baby at least 8 times per day, the baby tends to be healthier than babies whose mothers don't burp them as much.
