For this project you need to run a test of means at 5% significance. Find a set of data that you

can test online. Easy research ideas are to use sports stats from 30 years ago and compare

them to recent numbers. Use the recent numbers as the sample. You can do the same thing for

state by state numbers. Look at education rates from 20 years ago and then run a test to see if

current numbers are different.

1)Write an intro statement explaining what you are doing, state your significance level

and include Ho and Ha.

2) Explain how you made sure your data was independent in your sample

1) Explain how you made sure your sample was random.

2) Explain the less than 10% condition as well as create a histogram to show that your data

was nearly normal. (use google sheets to create the histogram)

3) Show the results of your mechanics from your calculator. For each section, give the

symbol and what the symbol means as well as the value.

4) State a Proper conclusion explaining what your data means.

5) Do you believe there is a chance for an error? What type of error would it be?

Mention a specific dataset because analysis vary from each dataset to other, depending on the dataset one will decide what he is suspecting and what they know, what they are suspecting will be and what they know will be . Making data independent is impossible, what you get by sample suvey is your data and it could be independent or it could be dependent, depending on independence or dependency the analysis method differs.

You run some sample data and are comparing your sample mean to a published population mean. Can you use a z-test in order to test for significance? Group of answer choices A. No, you would never use the z-test for this situation. B. No, you must always use a t-test with population means. C. Yes, no matter what statistics you have available. D. Yes, but only if you have the population standard deviation.

From a recent production run of compact fluorescent (CF) bulbs, you select a random sample of 10 bulbs. Using an accelerated bulb life simulation, you find that the average life for the bulbs in the sample is 2440 hours, with a sample standard deviation of 60 hours. Use these sample results to test, at the 5% significance level, the null hypothesis that the average life for the full population—the entire production run—of bulbs is pre- cisely 2500 hours, no more...
