As we are reminded in Isaiah 45:3 and 48:6, it is the Lord that allows man to research and discover. How are these Scriptures applicable to the four main steps of hypothesis testing?

Answer #1

Isaiah 48:6 - You have heard these things; look at them all. Will you not admit them?

Hypothesis testing is about we heard those thing but to admit them, we need to test and should get a significant reason to admit them. We can't come to a decision without enough proof.

So, we assume what we heard is true - setting null hypothesis

And we test it may or may not be true - setting alternative hypothesis.

Then we do the testing and try to get a significant value or the result from the experiment.

Then we come to conclusion by making decision of whether to admit it or not from the results we got from the experiments.

So, this how we can imply hypothesis testing from the phrases!

To detect the presence of harmful insects in farm fields, we can put up boards covered with a sticky material and examine the insects trapped on the boards. Which colors attract insects best? Experimenters placed six boards of each of four colors at random locations in a field of oats and measured the number of cereal leaf beetles trapped. The data is in the file Beetles.xlsx under the Quiz4 Resource folder. Analyze the data using a multiple linear regression model....
