Homework Answers

Answer #1

Out of 100 desktop customers, 72 purchase service plan and 100 - 72 = 28 will not. So the percentage of desktop customers who do not purchase a service plan is 28%.

Out of 25 customers, 20 purchase service plan and 25 - 20 = 5 will not. So the percentage of notebook customers who do not purchase service plan is 5 / 25 = 0.2, that is 20%.

Last month, customers of the store who purchased notebook computers were less likely to purchase the service plan, because 28% did not purchase the service plan, whereas only 20% of the customers who bought desktop computers did not purchase the service plan.
