The probability of dying if you play high school football is about 10 per million each year you play. The risk of getting cancer from asbestos exposure if you attend a school where asbestos is present for 10 years is about 50 per million. If we ban asbestos from schools, should we also ban high school football? Justify your position.

I am going to justify this using numbers. Otherwise, for obvious reasons playing is in fact an activity which keeps you fit and normally doesn't cause death. But let' see below from the numbers angle to the arguement:

Asbestos exposure led death has a probability 5 times to that of high school playing related deaths

50 per million vs. 10 million each year.

To put in perspective, 50 per million is a very low number, but in absolute sense a high enough number. But a number 1/5 this, in actually a very small numbers, and hence, we can'y justify banning of high school football.
