Year is Interval type of variable because differences are well defined. It is not ratio because origin can be arbitrary.   Values are 2007,2011,2016.

Scen 2: 1. Cases are students because data is collected on them. 2. Grade is "Ordinal" type of variable because it denotes ordering among the students. 3. Example values : A, B, C etc.
