There are laws across the country that prohibit sitting on sidewalks and sleeping in parks. These laws target homeless people and aim to either encourage them to move on or to provide the police with a reason to arrest them. Many people approve of these laws because they feel they should be able to enjoy the streets and the parks without having to look at homeless people. What would Mill say about these laws? What would he say to the people who defend them?

Mill would probably bring afore his theory of liberty, wherein he would justify that every individual has a certain right, and they have to be considerate of everyonez rights and no only a few, hence the rights of the homeless of have to be safeguarded as well, and be arbitrary restatints, there is a blockade on their rights to sleep where they feel safe as they are homeless.

And to the people who support these rights, Mill would say that they aren't following the true essence of liberty, as liberty means taking into consideration the rights of everyone equally, and not just of own or of a particular society or.class.
