The tests which assess the intelligence abilities of an individual can be culturally and racially biased with regard to formation of the test themselves. Most of the commonly used tests to assess intelligence are more than half a century old and are very culturally biased towards the group of samples that were taken and were available during the formation of the test and the norms of the test. It is not only the culture that is not taken into account but also the change that has come up with the introduction of different types of technologies.

Learning disabilities are disabilities that affect an individual in terms of their learning ability due to neurological conditions specially regarding specific learning areas such as reading, writing or calculating.

The main approach that schools take to help students with learning disability includes assessment of the disability and allocation of the individual to a special educator who has been trained to teach the individual with the specific learning disability using learning methods which are specially curated for them.
