Boyle states, "terrorist actions or violent acts intended to influence decisions". What decisions would a terrorist want to influence? If i bombed someone I wouldn't want someone to make the decision to come after me. In some cases one may decide to do nothing. But what exactly are terrorist looking for after their actions?

Terrorist actions are those violent that has motive behind, this motive could be political, religious or ideological. They intend to pressurize the governing institutions to look into their matter by creating fear in the minds of the people of the society. They could be taking some sort of political or religious revenge, or want the government to change the policies according their will, or look into their matter through the terror acts. This makes their act. different from any other act that cause harm to people and their properties. They work in groups with certain aims that they believe could be achieved by the act of terrorism. Whatever the aim of terrorist are, they means they use is violent actions to harm the innocent people and create terror in the minds of the people.
