Piaget theory of cognitive development discusses the four essential stages of development in a child. According to Piaget, children build schemas, which are the frames of reference, to perceive the world in a certain manner.

It has had a wide re aging inactive on the US educative system, as there are a lot of theories amd terminologies that were explained by Piaget which are still operational, like assimilation and acoomodation, which is useful in teaching as there are times that children need to u learn and relearn certain things and facts in order to have unskewed schemas.

Children are definitely cognitively advanced than they were 50 years ago, this is owing to the sundry sources and plethora of information available in the digital world, which is at the disposal of everyone, and can be benefitted from.
